Psychotherapy services
Rachel continues her psychotherapy practice in Montreal for select clients. Her practice is focused on helping you achieve the changes you desire in your life. She uses Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as other respectful approaches to allow you, the client, to decide what and how you want to change. Examples of some of her clients’ most common goals: changing habits about exercise, eating, tobacco, alcohol or drugs, and dealing with anxiety and depression. Many other clients simply feel “stuck” about something in their life. She works with adolescents, adults, couples and families. $150/hr (sliding scale available), day and evening hours available.

Excellent training. A challenge that led me to get out of my comfort zone and take calculated risks because it is a respectful and open environment. Thank you very much!

About dancing gecko
The gecko is a symbol of transformation in Southwestern Native American cultures, in part because in times of stress, they drop their tails and confuse their predators while making their getaway. A few months later, their tail grows back, completing a transformation. Psychotherapy also involves transformation: it brings you from one place in your life and helps you transform into another, better-adapted, more informed place.
The dancing part of “dancing gecko” refers to the collaboration between Motivational Interviewing practitioners and their clients. In Motivational Interviewing, we view our collaboration with our clients as a dance, rather than a wrestling match — an MI worker guides you, the client, subtly towards the change you want to make, rather than attempting to drag or push you toward change. At dancing gecko, therefore, we are focused on the psychotherapy dance between therapist and client to bring you towards your transformation goals.
dancing gecko training offers your team conferences, workshops and clinical development sessions for beginners through to advanced learners in MI.
